SharePoint 2007 Documents Site Missing

I have come across a strange problem in MOSS 2007 for one of my customers. One fine day Documents Site in the Site Collection disappeared totally. I got "HTTP 500 - Internal server error" when I gave the full URL of the Documents site.

We finally discovered that it's a bug in MOSS. There is a Hotfix available for this as described in the below link:
